Brianna is a singer/song writer from Texas and she took time to answer some question for all the Atlantic Radio Uk listeners and her own fans to read more bout her, on how she go into music and her biggest influences and much more. So here is the interview for you all to read.
This is Chas owner of Atlantic Radio UK. I’m here to interview the wonderful and talented Brianna Flether, who has took the time to answer some questions.
Hello Brianna, thanks for taking the time to do this interview for everyone to know about you and your music.
Chas - Can you tell the listeners where you’re from? Brianna - I’m from Fort Worth, Texas.
Chas - When and how did you first become interested in music? Brianna - I grew up around music so it was something I was always exposed to, but I think I knew that I wanted to make it a career when I was ten.
Chas - How long have you been playing music? Brianna - I’ve been singing since I was three, writing since I was ten, and playing guitar since I was twelve.
Chas - Does anyone in your family play music? Brianna - Yes! My mom is an amazing singer/songwriter and she plays the piano too.
Chas - What are your musical influences? Brianna - Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift. They are all incredibly talented and I respect them so much.
Chas - If you could sing with one artist or band who would it be and why? Brianna - Oh goodness, that’s a hard one because they are all so talented! I would probably have to go with Carrie Underwood because one, her voice is unbelievable, and secondly, I’ve looked up to her for so long! It would just be an honor to perform with her.
Chas - What kinds of places have your played music so far? Brianna - I’ve played at restaurants, coffee shops, weddings, talent shows, churches, birthday parties and hospitals.
Chas - If you could play one venue in the world where it be? Brianna - I think it’s every artists dream to perform at Madison Square Garden!
Chas - What else do you do besides playing and singing music? Brianna - I actually started a foundation called Teen Guidance Foundation. We go into schools and put on a show with music, video and lights then we talk to them about the affects of bullying. (we try to debully their school) www.debully.org I also love to work out & go to the movies!!
Chas - Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? Brianna - There’s not a specific one, but I think the emotion that was put into older country music like with Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton was just perfect. I think we need more of that in our music today.
Chas - Who are your favourite musicians? Groups? CD's? Brianna - Favorite musicians? Definitely John Mayer and Keith Urban they are both amazing at the guitar. Groups? Rascal Flatts, Dan + Shay, and Lady Antebellum. CD’s? Oh wow, I have way too many favorites to list!
Chas - Have you been in competitions? Brianna - I’ve been in a ton of competitions, but I don’t usually do well in them, haha! I’ve never won a competition, but I always put my best effort into them.
Chas - Do you perform in public? If so where have you played? Brianna - I’ve played at restaurants, coffee shops, weddings, talent shows, churches, birthday parties and hospitals.
Chas - If you have played any venues, do you get nervous before a performance? Brianna - I think it’s only natural to get nervous before a performance. It definitely gets easier every time but I think the nerves are good, they kind of push me to do my best.
Chas - What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous? Brianna - I would tell them to not worry about what people are gonna think or if you’re gonna mess up, just remember that you’re doing this because it makes you happy not to please anyone else.
Chas - How often and for how long do you practice? Brianna - I play guitar everyday. I usually try and write for one or two hours.
Chas - Where do you hope to be in say 5 years or more? Brianna - In 5 years, I hope to be on my own worldwide tour! I’ve always dreamed of touring the world and sharing my music with people.
Chas - If listeners want to get in touch with you or want to hear more of you music how can they get in touch? Brianna - Tweet me! @brifletcher I’m always responding to fans on there and sharing all my new music there!
Chas - Is there anything you would like to say to the wonderful Atlantic Radio Uk listeners? Brianna - Thank you; thank you so much for listening! Keep requesting my song and supporting me, it means so much that you guys enjoy my music. I’m sending my love to all of you!
