Nancy Love

Nancy Love is a Singer/Songwriter from Land of Love (She says it does excists). Nancy took time out of her busy schedule to sit down and have a chat with Chas. Read the interview to find out more about this amazing talent, how she got into music, her advice and much more.

This is Chas from Atlantic Radio Uk and I’m here to interview the wonderful Nancy Love.

Hello Nancy Love thanks for taking the time to do this interview and to let all the Atlantic Radio Uk listeners about you and your music.

Chas - Can you tell the listeners where you’re from?

Nancy - I was born and raised in the Land of Love (Yes-It does exist) that is where I am from. It’s a gorgeous place and my fans (the Nanigans) live there as well.

Chas - When and how did you first become interested in music?

Nancy - I have always been drawn and interested in music since a very young age. Music is my passion and my life and my gift is what brought me into the music world and that is my vocals and my ability to perform, entertain and write music! It truly does come naturally to me. Music is what truly describes me as a person and it’s something that I can’t live a day without!

Chas - How long have you been playing music?

Nancy - I have been involved with music for as long as I can remember. I was always a very active, inspired and creative child while growing up and since I was little I’ve always been in music. I was also in a children’s choir for a few years and I can definitely say that the experience helped me.

Chas - Does anyone in your family play music?

Nancy - Nope. I am the only one that’s involved with music.

Chas - If you could sing with one artist or band who would it be and why?

Nancy - That’s a tough question to answer because I am inspired and love many different artists and to choose just one is very difficult but if I had to I would definitely love to sing with Christina Aguilera or Justin Bieber. I feel that there could be a lot done and I’m quite positive a hit would be made if that were to ever happen.

Chas - What kinds of places have your played music so far?

Nancy - I have performed and sang at many places and still counting! To name a few: Hard Rock Café, Velvet Underground, The Product Nightclub, The Spoke Club, Nathan Phillips Square, Dundas Square, Downsview Park, The Columbus Centre, Seven44 Club, Centennial Park in Barrie, and so much more!

Chas - If you could play one venue in the world where it be?

Nancy - I would most definitely want to sing at Madison Square Garden! That would be a very big dream come true but I am willing to work hard to get there.

Chas - What else do you do besides playing and singing music?

Nancy - Tough question because my life is completely revolved around music. Music is what I do and it’s always been who I am. On my time off I write music, rehearse, spend time with family and close friends and I just enjoy life a day at a time.

Chas - Who are your favourite musicians? Groups? CD's?

Nancy - I listen to a lot of Pop/Dance music (Duh!) But I also enjoy listening to a little bit of everything and I love discovering new music and artists that I might not have known before. Some of the artists that I listen to that are my favorite are: Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Tori Kelly, Jay Sean, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, and from time to time I’ll still jam out to some Backstreet Boys!

Chas - Have you been in competitions?

Nancy - Yes I have been in a few competitions although now I don’t like to participate in them because I feel that an artist no matter how big or small should never be judged by a panel of a few people. I feel that every artist in this world whether it be an independent artist or a signed artist should be appreciated for what they do and there should be no hate and no decision making as to who should be the winner because in my eyes every artist is a winner in they’re own way. On another note, I was flown out to Portugal to sing my team chant that I had created for the Portuguese national soccer team on live television for the Fifa Euro Cup in 2012 and that was a very fun competition and a great experience that I won’t forget.

Chas - Do you perform in public? If so where have you played?

Nancy - Of course I do! I perform whenever I get the chance. Performing gives me the chance to showcase my talent to many people and to also meet fans and connect with them.

Chas - If you have played any venues, do you get nervous before a performance?

Nancy - I never do. This is something that makes me happy and it fills me up with joy and energy! I can’t picture myself without my music and my talent. I absolutely love what I do!

Chas - What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

Nancy - The best and wise advice I can give to beginners and to anyone is to always believe in yourself no matter what and don’t ever give up no matter how hard it gets. Keep following your dreams and every time you fall be sure to pick yourself right up again because before you can fly you must fall sometimes. Believe in your work, in yourself and stay dedicated. Always remember, you can not make it without the help of your fans!

Chas - How often and for how long do you practice?

Nancy - I practice every single day. There is not a day that goes by where I don’t sing or practice and when I do practice I go for a very long time because to me it’s so fun and I love it!

Chas -  Where do you hope to be in say 5 years or more?

Nancy - I hope to see myself at the top of the charts, touring the world, meeting and connecting with as many fans as possible, creating more music, collaborating with artists I’ve looked up to along the years, selling out Madison Sqaure Garden and I hope to get so popular that everyone will know my name. One day I shall get there.

Chas - If listeners want to get in touch with you or want to hear more of you music how can they get in touch?

Nancy - They can check out my website which is: www.nancymusicworld.com and there they will find my official Facebook page, Twitter, YouTube, and so much more!

Chas - Is there anything you would like to say to the wonderful Atlantic Radio Uk listeners?

Nancy - Yes! I wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to find out who I am and what I do and I hope to turn you Atlantic Radio UK listeners into my Nanigans (My fans)

I would like to thank you Nancy Love for taking the time to do this interview and everyone at Atlantic Radio Uk and the listeners wish you all the best in the future and we hope to have you back on Atlantic Radio Uk.
